Ryan Daniel Winter born November 22, 795 A.S on planet Leeds. He was third child in the family. Father - Daniel Jordan Winter, BAF lieutenant-commander in retirement. Mother - Sarah Winter, accountant in a small company producing medicine. His brothers - Miles Winter, BAF ensign, MIA since 819; Alexander Winter, BAF ensign. All his brothers were forced by father to serve in the Navy but not Ryan, because of his law degree. Ryan despises all military people. Also he has medical specialty thanks to his mother. When he was 19 years old, his uncle Alexander died, from whom he inherited small transport. Thus began his merchant career. Having gone through a lot of pirate attacks, Ryan is fed up with the private business. He hopes to join a company where he can safely engage in trade. Because of personal preferences he don't want to join Bowex or BMM. His reasons for working in Gateway still unknown, and that makes some suspicions - what a former scientist can do in such a trading corporation? There's something he doesn't want to talk about - his life as a scientist, and early life as a merchant. Perhaps he did something that makes him ashamed. But until he'll start talking - he is a useful member of Gateway.
After several changes in personnel, Ryan became Executive officer of Recruitment & Communication. His plans to gain control over the fuel transportation began that day.
But holiday can't last forever, and once a day Ryan has been put out from Gateway by Bruno Gehard, who became his worst enemy. In 5 days Ryan disappeared from Bretonia. His ship, GSV Red Light appears from time to time in New London, but it seems that ship's captain is not onboard. Ryan himself has been seen twice: talking to ex-Rheinwehr officer Christian Schneider, and later in battle near planet Leeds under fake ID. After defeat of Gallic forces, he disappeared once again - perhaps he landed on planet.
There was a captured Gallic officer that told Bretonians that last ship where Winter has been seen is CLN Intimidateur, Council cruiser.
Next (and last) time he was detected in Honshu system on his fighter. Nobody knows his current location.
