Saint-Flour is a modern mining facility built in 648 A.G.S. by Gallic Metal Service. The facility is equipped with everything necessary to mine and process ore from the nearby Allier Asteroid Field. A trade lane was built to Saint-Flour from Montlucon Space Colony, serving not only to transport the raw materials back to Gallia and Mining Machinery to it, but to provide the workforce with a quick commune from the systems civilian colonies, where most of the miners families are housed. During the last two decades, the ore deposits within Alliers were largely depleted, forcing Saint-Flour to scale back its operations. Yet, mining in the remote areas of the field continues, despite increased Brigand raids against the miners operating far from their base.
