Sirius Robotics

Sirius Robotics is a small but growing robotics corporation with more recent ties to the IMG and DSE. The corporation currently operates solely from planetary based factories, with individual shipping companies like Universal carrying out the actual delivery work. However the Independent Miners Guild has recently invested heavily in the group and rumours are abound about a possible move to space bound production, a large step for this relatively unknown corporation.

Units

Sirius robotics has a large range of robotic units. The most noteworthy in military terms are listed below.

Large Units

The X series

The X-1

The first Mech drone built by Sirius Robotics in recent history, the X-1 is a completely new take on the traditional forms of warfare. Typically indoor combat and close combat situations were reserved for infantry forces or weakly armed vehicles. The X-1 changes all of this however as it's Mech design allows for it to enter structures and stride right through the enemy whilst shredding them to pieces with it's armament. Featuring specialised projectile weaponry capable of punching through all kinds of commercially available personal shields and personal armour alike, the X-1 truly is a beast. Whilst able to annihilate all manner of potential enemies, it has also got advanced motor skills preventing it from becoming stuck inside structures and being capable of navigating narrow corridors. Widely available on the open market currently for a low price, the X-1 has enjoyed great success in it's use.

The X-2

X-2.jpgX-22.jpg

The second Mech drone built by Sirius Robotics in recent history, the X-2 is an evolution of the X-1 to provide support in intense battlefield situations that require heavy firepower. Essentially acting like an infantry support squad all by itself, the X-2 features two powerful particle cannons to provide strong firepower whilst also having several compartments for squads to take supplies from whilst on the move. Due to the unique Mech nature of the unit, the X-2 can enter areas that typically would be out of reach for conventional wheeled or tracked vehicles. This, combined with the dual cannons, effectively means that the X-2 is often used to simply obliterate dug in or difficult to remove enemies in tight combat situations. Now available on the open market, Sirius Robotics already have a backlog of orders for the X-2 in place.

The T series

The T-1

T-1.jpgT-12.jpgT-13.jpg

The first proper tank drone built by Sirius Robotics in recent history, the T-1 is a revolution in robotic design. Built to provide heavy support in any situation, the T-1's performance rivals and often exceeds that of human crews. The advanced armour plating on the unit allows for it to take huge punishment whilst also dishing out massive amounts of firepower with it's laser based cannon. Utilising the same technology that many space vessel weapons use, the cannon can destroy nearly every known armoured vehicle in Sirius in a few shots. The unit can be connected directly to a command centre or act on a set of pre-set protocals. Freshly out of the production line the T-1 is currently on the market for all interested parties.

The T-2

T-2.jpgT-21.jpgT-22.jpg

The second tank drone built by Sirius Robotics in recent history, the T-2 was designed to fight enemies guarded against energy based weapons. Featuring a large barrelled ballistic turret, the T-2 uses the same targeting system as the T-1 and uses much of the same internal workings. It does have a very efficient shell loading system however and the cannon itself can be fired at a rate far exceeding that of Human crewed tanks. It possesses a different form of armour on the body of the unit when compared to the T-1. Using various composite alloys, the T-2's armour is superior to the T-1 in terms of toughness but it also has superior wheel tracks allowing for it to move rapidly across a battlefield. The T-2 is also on the open market for any and all interested parties for a very similar price to the T-1.

The T-3

T-3.jpgT-32.jpgT-33.jpg

The third tank drone built by Sirius Robotics in recent history, the T-3 was designed to bring even greater firepower to the battlefield. Utilising a massively powerful Pulse Ion cannon, the unit can annihilate every foe it comes across and punch through nearly every kind of energy shield in use throughout Sirius House space. The increased firepower has caused for a reduction in the armour of the unit and so it is less armoured than both the T-1 and T-2. This was to keep the unit in the same price range as the other two T units. Sirius Robotics does offer to add additional armour to the unit for a small extra cost however, increasing it's armour to T-1 standards.

Medium Units

The I-1

Featuring state of the art armour and weaponry, the I-1 also has agility unlike any robot built to date. It's 'hands' are capable of holding a puppy as delicately as a small child but also capable of rending flesh from a body or armour from a tank. Advanced targeting systems allow it to see the enemy from afar and even through solid objects. Of course, it is not merely built for melee combat but also ranged. With 2 energy cannons and a shoulder mounted missile launcher, it is more than capable of taking out many enemies at range. The I-1 is very suited for combat indoors or in confined spaces due to it's agility and humanoid stature. Built around the image of a Human, it was designed with the philosophy of simply improving upon our body and besting it that way. All in all, the I-1 is the supreme combat unit for those wishing for an elite, agile and powerful humanoid companion.
