The Typhoon Destroyer is one of the largest capital ships deployed by the Coalition.
The Typhoon is small and light even for a destroyer and like all ships of the Coalition, is built with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency. It is designed to support fleet actions and is not intended for direct combat, though it can still stand its ground if necessary. It relies on speed and firepower over armor and operates in a guerilla fashion which is suitable for an organization such as the Coalition.
Handling
It is important to note that even though the Coalition ID is public, the Coalition Capital Ships (excludes the Storm) may not be used by Red Hessians, Mollys, Unioners or any other factions that are allowed Coalition technology.
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.
The typhoon relies entirely on the Pilots Turret stealing skills, its low armor and small size make it preferable for group fighting and instead of dueling. However, in the hands of a skilled pilot this ship can take down battleships and duel other crusiers with solid efficiency. Its best when fighting battleships/battlecrusiers/and crusies to side steer your enemy. By that I mean keeping your side while still slighly moving away, DO NOT TANK YOUR ENEMY WITH THIS SHIP. Mounting a razor in on the first heavy slot of the ship makes it a nightmare for bombers, and with cerberus filling the other slots battleships and battlecrusiers will also have a hard time fighting you. All in all this ship is really deadly to gunboats, snubs and even other capitals alike; making it suitible for the revolutionary cause!
What I recommend on this ship:
Fill the 1st heavy slot with a Crusier razor Note that the razor can only fire foward and sideways not backwards. Fill the next 2 heavy slots with cerb turrets take note that these can both fire fowards and sideways but only one of them can fire backwards.
Fill the rest with coalition prims and watch your enemy Q_Q.Hardpoints
