Early Life

Ujihiro was born Ishimaru on Shinagawa Station in New Tokyo system to a family with a long military service history. He spent his earliest childhood, a time immemorial to him in a small farming town on Planet Honshu where he observed the farmers work and received needed training in a local Dojo. When he reached the age of 8 he met an old man, a hermit living on a mountain in a small hut made of bamboo he never saw before. The old man's long and silky beard hanged right down to the ground and his warm, ever smiling face was like a fountain of devotion and peacefulness to Ujihiro. Ujihiro quickly befriended the old man, and Takahiro was his name. Spending increased time with him, Ujihiro quit training in the Dojo and Takahiro took him in as his own apprentice. Takahiro always spoke to him, at first not directly about the Blood Dragons and their goal that has existed for centuries. The boy was thrilled when listening about the Dragons, their discipline, their noble goal, Takahiro made them sound like the noble heroes of ancient legends, those that fought to destroy corruption and right the wrongs. Ujihiro was so carried away by the feeling, that he spoke about the Dragons in front of his father, an esteemed Naval Forces captain, and he got beaten up and yelled at every time. After some time, his father forbade him to visit the old man again, but sneaking out was never a problem to him. He had something special with them man, he was more than a friend to him, he was his mentor and something of a grandfather. When he came to the old man's hut he saw his hut gone and in it's place a red variant of a ship he saw his father to fly. Behind the ship stood Takahiro in a white robe bearing the Blood Dragon insignia. Takahiro approached the boy and told him to return home and never to speak to anyone about what he saw. Ujihiro refused, as he was overjoyed to know Takahiro was a real, live Blood Dragon! He begged Takahiro to take him with to the legendary Blood Dragon home, so he could become one as well. At first Takahiro stubbornly refused, but Ujihiro was unsurpassed in his own stubbornness and Takahiro accepted. He took Ujihiro, placed him in the cargo hold, launched into the space undetected and headed towards the unknown parts of the Crow Nebula...
