The Zoner Defense Vessel Rathgrith, also more commonly known as the ZDV Rathgrith or simply as Rathgrith, was the secondary Flagship of the Freeport 11 Defense Forces, the other being the ZDV Dragostea, now known as the CS Abdicant Seraphine. Constructed in November 824 AS by Livadia Shipbuilding under authorization from the COF, for Administrator-designate Nodoka Hanamura, the Rathgrith was a Rena Nagase-subclass anti-snub/CIWS Frigate, unlike other vessels of the Fearless Hull designation, which are classed as either cruisers or destroyers. The Rathgrith is named after the Nordic valkyrie Rathgrith, who was also known as the Plan-Breaker.

Due to the Rathgrith's specialization, as well as the preference of the Slomon K'hara and their infectees to utilize mixed fleet warfare, the Rathgrith boasts a full Solaris CIWS array, capable of decimating Snubcraft that are foolish enough to get in proximity of her, as well as providing CIWS support against incoming torpedoes for herself and allied ships. Furthermore, its' agility and durability in combat allows it to hold up against sustained fire for enough time to commit to a fighter sweep that may be escorting a hostile capital ship. Furthermore, the use of a single CD98a Mosquito mount provides for the Rathgrith to pursue targets that attempt to flee, as well as double as a fast-reaction CIWS system, comparable to that of the Earth US Navy RIM-174 ERAM, as to interdict projectiles and NEMP weapons.

To get the upper hand on Nomad combatants, the Rathgrith boasts a Type II Cloaking system in lieu of a countermeasure system, however, it has been decided, as of the deployment of Nomads using cloaking technology, to transition to a more offensive armament, namely a Type II Cloak Disruption system, as well as various upgrades to Ship Radar.

If not tended to by capitals or bombers with a heavy escort, the Rathgrith can ruin one's day without as much as a thought, just by harrassing snubcraft, gunboats and even, through the use of CIWS, capitals.

The Rathgrith was later sold to a unknown buyer by Nodoka Hanamura, only to be supplanted by the CS Rathgrith II, a Ahoudori-class Gunboat. As a result, the Rathgrith name was stripped from the vessel and retired.
