Description

Universal Shipping started to develop autonomous drone systems back in the early years of 700 A.S., trying to create a solution to the raising demand on transports, and reduce the risk of them being attacked and/or destroyed. Development of the drones with A.I. ceased for 20 years when they encountered several problems during research, stopping the program in 748 A.S. and resuming in 768 A.S.

Naming Conventions

In general, drone names are consist of the appropriate word Drone, followed by their ID-suffix. Depending on the hardware the drone is currently using, the name is prefixed as described:

  • if escorting (LF, HF, VHF, SHF & B): UD-Escort
  • if transporting (Fr & T): UD-Transport

The parts of the name are seperated by one full stop. Examples are:

  • UD-Escort.Drone.Z22
  • UD-Transport.Drone.E12

Only exception is Controller Newton, which is named UD-Controller.Newton.
