Local bar conversations/fights quickly informed Ezreal of the hostility Outcasts had towards... outcasts. His front as a [[Junker]] was believed by most who saw his ship but none who saw him flying it. Ezreal took some odd jobs just to eat but had plans to leave the system as soon as possible. He hoped to start a career on his home planet, [[Honshu]], but was unaware of his status as a fugitive. After a random job Ezreal engaged in conversation with a local [[cardamine]] distributor at his favorite bar. The guy was so wasted, Ezreal didn't think he'd remember the night, so he loosened up and became friends with the Outcast. After Ezreal told him about his time in Bastille, the Outcast gave him some interesting information. Apparently, the [[Police Prison Station]] is an independent organization, and no records of inmates are kept in any database. No government could ever know of Ezreals sentencing, except the policemen that arrested him when he was nine, and any [[Police Prison Station]] employees who cared to remember him.

Ezreal Matsumoto is a Kusari freelancer.

Early Life

Ezreal Matsumoto was born on Planet New Tokyo in the year 795 A.S.. His father was an Admiral in the Kusari Naval Forces and his mother owned a bakery. Ezreal's mother Akira left her husband when Ezreal was three. His father never spoke of her after that day and never told his son why she left. Two years later, Ezreal's father fought in the Nomad War. It is presumed that he died at the Battle of Heaven's Gate.

After his father died in the Nomad War, Ezreal was adopted by a close family friend, General Hanzo. General Hanzo was a historian of sorts, and he had a fascination with the Old Earth history of Japan. He studied the arts of the samurai and shinobi and had a large collection of media on these subjects. Ezreal was trained in the art of the shinobi, and his own fascination led him to spend his free time browsing General Hanzo's library.

On Ezreal's ninth birthday, General Hanzo's home was raided by the most powerful crime syndicate in the Yamanashi Prefecture, the Deadly Vipers. Fourteen men attacked the home, and after defeating twelve of the gangsters, General Hanzo was greeted by death in the form of a laser pistol. Although Ezreal's blade was responsible for taking three Deadly Viper lives, it could not save him from their leader Boss Tanaka.

Prison

The ensuing investigation found Ezreal guilty of three counts of murder. He was sentenced to 50 years incarceration at Police Prison Station. There, Ezreal enlisted in a rehabilitation program known as "Top Gun" aimed at teaching inmates basic mechanics in flight training. A natural pilot, he excelled in the program. One of the guards was so fond of Ezreal's aviation skills, he gave him his personal Bull Dog heavy fighter.

Cybernetic Experimentation

Ezreal was one of two Top Gun students who volunteered to be in tactical augmentation experiments. Ezreal's head was severed from his body from the neck down and he was outfitted with a cyborg exoskeleton and artificial white blood. His optical nerves and retina were damaged in the process of dailyzing this blood and had to be replaced with prosthetics. Nanomachines were implanted into Ezreals cerebral cortex, giving him enhanced senses and neural network access.

Escape

On a routine training exercise with his mentor around the outskirts of Bastille, Ezreal performed an inverted maneuver that caused him to accelerate intensely and lose contact with his instructor for a few minutes. During this time he noticed a piece of debris near his ship, an odd occurrence considering the system he was in. Ezreal beamed the debris to his cargo bay, and a scan determined that it was a non-functional jump drive. Ezreal used his neural net uplink to research jump drives and later developed a plan to collect the materials needed to repair his find.

Three years of junking and he managed to collect enough material to repair the jump drive he found so long ago. By this time, Ezreal was given free flight access four hours a day due to good behavior and a general fascination of his aviation abilities by the Police Prison Station staff. He got into his Bull Dog and installed the jump drive with the intent to exit Bastille permanently. The jump drive functioned and created a minor worm hole, but Ezreal forgot to enter coordinates and entered a blind jump.

Nomad Incident

When he exited the worm hole, Ezreal found that his Bull Dog aviation scanner wasn't responding and the neural net was not accessible. Little did he know, he was in the Omicron-92 system. He flew towards what he presumed to be north for hours, trying to tell himself that the asteroids weren't the same ones he saw fifteen minutes ago. Beginning to grow hopeless, Ezreal then heard a voice that sounded rather close. He looked around and noticed an almost translucent ship only a few meters away from him. He immediately recognized it. The ship was a small Nomad. Ezreal's Bull Dog was not outfitted with weapons of any kind, so he began to pray. But the Nomad showed no signs of hostility, and after a few seconds it spoke to Ezreal in English. He was unaware if the communication was physical or a mental connection, but the Nomad offered to guide him out of the system. Ezreal followed the Nomad for a few hours and through a few systems until they reached Omicron Alpha. The Nomad then left without saying anything and Ezreal took shelter on the nearest planet, Planet Malta.

The Malta Experience

Local bar conversations and fights quickly informed Ezreal of the hostility Outcasts had towards... outcasts. His front as a Junker was believed by most who saw his ship. Ezreal took some odd jobs just to eat but had plans to save up and leave the system as soon as possible. He hoped to start a career on his home planet, Planet New Tokyo, but was unaware of his status as a fugitive. One night Ezreal engaged in conversation with a local cardamine distributor at his favorite bar. The guy was so wasted that Ezreal didn't think he'd remember that night, so he loosened up and became friends with the Outcast. After Ezreal told him about his time in Bastille, the Outcast gave him some interesting information. Apparently, the Police Prison Station is an independent organization, and no records of their inmates are kept in any database. No government would ever know of Ezreal time there, except the policemen that arrested him when he was nine, and any Police Prison Station employees who cared to remember him.

With this new found information, Ezreal deemed it safe to travel to New Tokyo.

Present Day

Ezreal currently lives in the capital city of Planet New Tokyo, but hopes to start a career as a corporate trader.
