I see that you did the Gallic factions. Good work. I'd like to remind all of us that we do not put any info of 4.85 before Igiss or admins have made it public. --[[User:Looqas|Looqas]] 00:33, 5 November 2008 (MST)

Hey, The system template is still in the works, so to prevent you doing too much extra work I think it's worth to wait until it's finished before adding too many new systems. The New York is the "live template" now, so go and check it and participate in discussion. --Looqas 02:06, 27 October 2008 (MDT)

I was just adding the systems showed on the system map for 4.85.

Also since you seem to be the self-proclaimed boss around here I was wondering when those templates are going to get done. The mod has been out for quite a while. So yes the template may not be done but at least some information is getting put down.

Also, it may help a lot if a template for player factions was developed.

Hello Newsun1. I am the current "overseer" for the Wiki. Looqas has been a hardworking editor and contributor to this wiki. We have developed Style Guides so that every editor inputs the same way, to ensure article and content consistency. If you have any questions or want to raise any issues please address them to me. While the mod has been out for quite a while now, this wiki was not developed for quite a while. We have had a massive number of people contributing to it since (as you are doing) and it has finally become useful as a wiki.
We do appreciate you contributing to the Wiki. I think you have done a great job so far. All Looqas was saying was you might want to wait for a little time until 4.85 is released and when the system template can be used fully. The reason is that we will still have to do change that content to the template, effectively - putting it in twice. However it IS your choice to continue inputting more systems as you have been, and it does help. Keep up the hard work.
For player factions, what do you suggest is different to an NPC faction, to warrant it's own template?
--(Chovynz)(Chovynz's Talk) 14:49, 27 October 2008 (MDT)

Well I didn't necessarily want a new template just something as all the player faction pages seem to be all over the place. I think the NPC faction template is a great starter but there are things I think would need to be added.

But is the NPC faction template the template we needed to use? If so I was unaware of that.

Newsun1

Yes it is the one we use. There essentially is no difference between a NPC faction and a player faction other than the players make the faction come alive. If you find or think of something to change about it to suit player factions please let me know. We'll talk about it and see if we can get it implemented. Keep up the good work. Good to have you onboard.
By the way, an easy way to sign your edits (especially in the discussion pages) is to do ~~~~.

Also, please leave any comments in discussion pages on, rather than removing them (for example in the main page discussion about Quick Reference. They may have good ideas that we can revisit at a later date.Chovynz 17:03, 27 October 2008 (MDT)

I would like to revisit the quick reference. I think that the Border Worlds, Edge Worlds, Nomad Worlds and Independent Systems need to be listed on the main page somewhere. Whether or not these regions replace the House listing doesn't matter at all to me.

Newsun1 17:08, 27 October 2008 (MDT)

Suggestion noted. I will think about this and how best to do it, without breaking what we have currently or having redundant links. I ask that you wait for our reply before doing anything about it. I need to discuss it with the other editors first. I don't know how long it will take, but once we have reached a decision, I'll let you know, and get you to do it in the same form as the rest of the Main page links.
Also I am monitoring your talk page so you can reply directly here if you like.

I've changed the main page to reflect your suggestion. If you want a specific direction to input things for, you could choose 7 systems to apply the New York Template to. We need a system from each House, an Independent system, a Border worlds, System, a Nomad System and a Guard System. Please let me know which ones you have applied the template to. Wait, are guard systems like Puerto Rico to be considered Liberty or in a category all their own? Newsun1 23:01, 1 November 2008 (MDT)

I have left Guard systems intentionally un-defined in this sense. They are a special case and not "free space" for people to explore. --Looqas 00:33, 5 November 2008 (MST)
