Template:Base

Template:Base is for permanent bases, including stations and inhabitable planets. It is not for temporary bases created by players.

Recognized attributes are shown in the Usage section below. Of particular note:

• name is the base's full name, as extracted from the infocard data, and is used for the name that is shown in the infobox. The template will also attemp to load a PNG or JPG file with this name. It should also be used for the page title.

• description is used for the text block at the top of the page.

• stats contains infocard data such as planet terrain, whether a station offers gravity, and so forth. It is displayed as-is and is not mapped to any defined attributes.

• faction (singular) contains a linked version of the Owner Faction name (necessary for efficient redirection of Guard factions), while faction-raw contains the unlinked target faction name (necessary for Category links).

• factions (plural) contains a table of NPC factions a player can interact with, through rumors, missions, or bribes.

• commodities holds a table of commodities that can be bought or sold on this base.

• equipment holds a table of the ship equipment that is available for purchase on this base.

• ships-packages holds a table of ships that are available.

The remaining attributes are used to populate additional fields in the infobox.
