Having survived a tumultuous phase of planetary mergers, this rough sphere of superheated metals is thought to have completed its last merger so recently that there are people alive who might have witnessed the event, if Omega-2 had been surveyed sooner. The discovery of this world has excited many scholarly discussions, and it would be the focus of much more concentrated research if the planet wasn't on the front of the Corsair-Hessian war.
