Possessing a massive coaxially mounted cannon capable of unleashing terrible firepower across vast distances, the venerable cruiser has long stood as deterrent against foreign incursion. While possessing light conventional armaments, the awe inspiring speed and slim profile of this craft provides a strong edge against the battering of larger craft.
Handling
- This ship is too large to use docking bays, it must use mooring points.

The Siege Cruiser is a fantastic ship. Boasting seven turrets and a forward cannon that ia great for turtle-hunting, the Seige Cruiser is a force to be reckoned with. Mounting one Light Mortar and full Liberty prims, and you can deal serious damage to anything that is a gunboat or up. The addition of the Light Mortar is to have a greater field of fire, as the Forward gun heads for the center of your screen. Get a pair of these, and no battleship will survive. Vs. Gunboats The Light Mortar is your best friend. Two of its chief opponents, the Lane Hacker Gunship and the Rogue Gunboat, present targets that your LM can hit with ease, provided you keep it in sight. Follow up with a few turret salvos to keep the, shields down. Depending on your skill, you can solo two GBs and win with a CAUIV. I did so in Conneticut versing a Hacker GS and a Liberty Gunboat. Took forever, but if a fighter takes a few potshots, it goes faster. Vs. cruisers Now, the LSC is a bit outclassed versus its main opponents, the Scylla, 12 turrets, and the RM Cruiser, 11 turrets. In these situations, mobility and the slim profile is key, as is using the Light Mortar when afar and a Forward Gun when you're up close and facing them. Vs. battleships Now, here is where your Forward Gun gets the action. Its chief opponent, the Rheinland Battleturtle, is too big to miss. When supported by fighters, bombers, or another Seige, you can wipe the floor with the RMBS's. Stay at range, use the LM, then move in and forward gun it to death. This part is best done when your opponent has taken heavy damage. The Forward Gun is your strikedown weapon. Note you cannot fire the LM and Forward gun together or in quick succession.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Jeremy_Hunter |
