Grand Admiral Xander Aaron Ainsley Augustus Jacen Bastian Eadbhard Alexander Qayshon Dabney von Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorf is the Spymaster for The Order and a member of the Order High Command. Formerly a Libertonian senator and member of the Order of Cincinnatus, he helped found The Order, serving as one of the highest placed agents to ever defect from a hostile organisation and survive his defection.
Though currently serving in the Order High Command, he originally voiced complaints and even disobeyed orders issued by them, questioning their seemingly absolute authority. Whenever called in to account for his actions, he could always prove that he acted in the best interests of The Order, and that the orders given were harmful to the paramilitary organisation. He also relied on the fact that as an original cell, he theoretically, under the rank structure, answered to no-one.
During his career in the Liberty Senate, he quickly rose to a leading role in his party for his verbose nature and irrefutable logic. His charismatic appeal in the party as well as the media gave him a sizable following in the House. At a time when the citizens of Liberty wanted a change in leadership, he stood up for the race. He was narrowly beaten by Barbara Jacobi, a point which still sours him to this day.
A few years after his defection to The Order, around 804 A.S., he stepped back into the shadows, observing The Order itself for infection, and even finding it in some cases, during this time. It would prove to be the catalyst for a major change in the paramilitary organization. As an Admiral who founded The Order, X held certain sway in the various political factions within The Order and using this he founded several splinter groups which would eventually form the TSF. He re-emerged half a decade later with an almost fully functioning spy network spread through the houses. As a few more years passed, this network began to crumble, as double agents were exposed, controllers captured and the general morale of the splinter groups hit a low point. He eventually re-structured the network into the Wedjat, an organisation feared by The Order's enemies for the sheer information that they could collect and process.
Since actively joining The Order, X has changed dramatically in personality. His charismatic charm can inspire people, but opinions of him among his allies and enemies are heavily polarized. He is often regarded as one of the master tacticians in Sirius' history, able to pit his mind against the heads of several hostile organisations simultaneously and come out on top.
Biography
Background
He was born on Planet Manhattan to prominent and wealthy parents who were instrumental in raising him, providing a solid education and eventually funding and allowing him to study a combined degree of Law and Political Studies at a top University. During his degree, in one of the most impulsive unplanned actions he would make in his life, he decided to run for Senator of his state. To his own surprise he won. This would serve as the prelude to him eventually founding The Order and coming to lead it.
Little is known about X's background as records of his existence were wiped by the infected Liberty government during his defection to The Order. The files that were found were basic and only skimmed over his life history, as shown above.
Political Career
Made as a completely spontaneous decision during a heatwave, X decided to nominate himself as an independent candidate during the election of a Representative for his state. Due to most of the citizens in the electorate he represented being tired of the corruption which dogged all the other candidates, he was chosen as a fresh face. He joined a party after winning the election, although it is not clear which one. During his time in office, he balanced serving his electorate with his university studies, which made him an idol of the perfect son for the older generations and a person in-touch with the younger generations, increasing his popularity. Combined with his charismatic nature and the logically, verbose nature he had, he made quite a splash on the political scene. This eventually led to him being incorporated into the Senate, as his party's representative conveniently retired on health grounds. It is speculated that around this time was when he was inducted into the Order of Cincinnatus and spent time serving Liberty in more opaque ways. At the peak of his career, before founding The Order, he was a Presidental candidate. Although he lost to Barbara Jacobi he still managed to retain a lot of his power base. His founding of The Order served as a defection of sorts, even though Liberty was infected, and this effectively killed any future political aspirations in Liberty.
The Fall of Liberty
Being a pitbull in the political arena and an agent of the Order of Cincinnatus he could slowly see Liberty and the Order of Cincinnatus falling to infection. He tried his best to counteract the fall, ordering the elimination of key infected figures and trying to preserve the integrity of both structures. He ultimately failed. When he knew that Liberty's fall was guaranteed and that the Order of Cincinnatus would crumble, he developed Contingency Plan: X, which would found The Order and save humanity. He did not expect to survive to see his plan succeed. It succeeded amazingly, with the formation of The Order, the redemption of Liberty from nomad control, the purge of Rheinland's infected and the preservation of the Kusari empire. The rescue of the then President and former political adversary Barbara Jacobi as well as the stolen plans and technology would allow The Order to prosper in future years.
