Template

I havent set it up, but I suggest we use a template page in all weapon pages. That way the only thing someone will need to enter is the {template}{4}{12}{23}{450 m/s}

But then with the little amount of info for the weapons, it might be easier just to copy and paste. Chovynz 03:30, 21 May 2008 (GMT)

Sadly, I don't know how to do what you suggested.

I'm unsure about the first headline, because it's strange to have the page title just next to another headline with partially the same text. I would rather rename the headline 'Description' and add the full name in a separate paragraph, maybe 'Full name' or something. That could be done for ships, too. What do you think?

I know what you mean. The gun title does look weird underneath the page title. I like your suggestion for the name. :I'll implement it and see what it looks like. There are two names that we are dealing with:
  • the name it's commonly known by (it's selling name) and
  • the technical ingame name
I think it's important to have both (well not important, just more...satisfying/accurate/informative).

I don't like the way it's noted now, neiter. I'm changing it to a separate paragraph. That looks better, but far from perfect.
This change has the nice side-effect of creating an index at the top of the page because there are enough headlines in.
If you don't like the look, just undo my change.

Nah! It's good.

About the link at the bottom - we might remove that and add the following line on top:
This page contains information about a weapon. For other weapons of this class, see class 4 weapons.
The wording still seems a bit irritating, but might be the 'nicest' way to link to class 4 weapons.
Alternatively, we could put the links to class 1 - class 9 weapons in the See also section.

Yeeeeerrrrssss...I see what you mean. The word weapon is a bit off for me though. I think Gun would be better.
To make the distinction between a turret weapon, and a gun weapon. I do like the idea of a class quick linkage at the bottom. But are we getting carried away or is it actually useful to have them there? I just dont want these pages to be dead ends.
