A system as rich in resources as Tau-23 was ripe for exploitation, and once surveyed by Bretonia Mining and Manufacturing in 730 AS, the construction of a Jump Gate to link the system with Bretonia became a high priority. While work on the Tau-31 Jump Gate has proceeded, the project came under intense attack by the Outcasts.
With the revelation and subsequent threats of confict by Gallia, BMM and DSE were forced to abandon the project. The jump gate was nearly completed, and functional, yet the lane to the Beryllium mining area was far from complete. As Gallia struck at Lewis, BMM realised their position became unmanagable and evacuated most of the station. The Gallic Navy seized the station, and more importantly the functional jumpgate, within days of their advance into Tau-23. This allowed them to push their forces into Tau-31 at will which eventually resulted in the destruction of the Kusari fleet stationed there. The station was converted into a forward supply depot, supplying the Gallic forces in Tau-31 and Bretonia.
Recently, the Gallic Metal Service has started to mine the Beryllium deposits east of the station.
