A late development in the CQ "Conquistador" series of Outcast fightercraft, the Falcata Mk II was designed as a testbed, to see how far the "Rapier" framework could be taken. Outcast engineers added a bomber-grade powerplant from the standard Z-line bomber, and fitted the craft with dual bomber torpedo bays. After initial trials showed the Rapier-based bomber would surpass the Falcata nearly all fields, the goahead was given to fully design it.
The Falcata Mk II still carries the name of its predecessor, but is in fact a completely new design. Built with better maneuverability in mind, this bomber is meant to slip through enemy defenses and deliver her payload before the target has a chance to react - and be out of range by the time it does.

The Falcata is a popular bomber for the Outcasts and Freelancers of the Borderworlds. While not as well armored and powered as it's Corsair counterpart, it is far more maneuverable. This Borderworlds ship can hold it's own against Very Heavy Fighter ships with a lot less effort than other bombers. The Council of Dons frequently uses the bomber for defense of Malta and other Outcast interests in the Borderworlds. Their use of the Inferno Pulse Cannon, along with the Supernova, proves to be more than most warships can handle. Luckily for the Maltese, their EMP cannon is rather exclusive, giving their bomber pilots a very unique advantage over any other bombers in Sirius. Falcata Mk II is a relatively new bomber, but a dissapointing one. Having very poor Armor, guns placement, one of the worst Snac placements (being on the end of wings), and pretty big butt, it's subpar to its rival Cutlass. Although having a big core and okay agility for a Medium Bomber, the reasons above are why this ship is currently not good at all.
Pros: None
Cons: Pretty much everything, especially Snac placement
Rating: 3/10
