The New Hope Colony is the main settlement of the Crayter Republic on Pecos. It is a rapidly built, midsized city containing the bulk of the Colonial civilian population. The initial structures are simple prefabricated modules, but most of the city has been constructed below the surface, where it is somewhat protected from the harsh arctic climate. A large portion of the Crayter Republics civilians have temporarily settled here, bringing the colony to a staggering (for an arctic world) 175.000 individuals.
