The Rheinland Federal Police needed a ship capable of dealing punishment to smugglers and pirates alike, and Oder Shipyard delivered. Packing a huge power core, superior shielding and armor, and weapons hardpoints to spare, the Mjolnir is designed to give the Police the heavy hand they need to deal with well-armed unlawfuls. It is the difference between a SWAT team, and a lone cop on the beat. Never intended to be capable of lasting in massed fleet engagements, but rather the ship is built to last until help arrives.

Review
This is most universal ship in fighter/bomber/freighter range (reminding me of good old clumsy fighter/mage/rogue FRP hero). It is not great in any category, but does good in all. It has enough power to hit hard like hammer with 6 high-class front-firing Rhainland weapons (all 8 weapons would drain too much power, so two rear turrets can fire backwards only), plus BOMBER torpedo (mmmmm... snac!), plus mines. You can use mini-razor or Nova torpedo, both will recharge at nice rate. Cargo space is pretty large. Thanks to freighter shields and strong hull, it can stand heavy fire. And Mjolnir will need every inch of it's armor, becouse of it's freighter-like agility. But, freighters can not carry any torpedo or mine, real fighters can not carry bomber torpedos, etc... Lack of agility and gunboat-like SIZE makes it clumsy, so it's voulnerable to fighter packs (6 or even 5 NPC Odins can kill it). However, Mjolnir will never fall fast, so after some experience you can simply choose your battles smart and run avay fast and almost unhurt. Mjolnir's thrust speed is 199, so it is capable to hunt down low protected transport or even biger ships and evade their fire long enough to score a kill (with use of torpedos and mines, of course). Mjolnir is best choice for a lonely wolf with $10.000.000 budget. You can drop anywhere and live to talk about it. But it's always more cost-effective to make a group of one bomber, one freighter and two fighters, rather than four Mjolnirs (like old FRP rule again!).Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by Pepe |

The Mjolnir is no joke. It is a normal ship with bad and good sides. It is something between a Gunboat and Bomber with a low energy core. The Mjolnir is not really good in a group fight, but in a 1 VS 1 it is a beast. If your opponent fly under the Mjolnir it will face 8 guns, over the Mjolnir only 6 but it is still hard. The real enemies of the Mjolnir are missiles and mines. If you eat to many of explosion devices, your weapons will fall off before you explode. But you can avoid it, if you fire CDs and use CMs. That is the positive part of the Mjolnir. It can use CDs and Razor etc. together. The next part is the energy. One Pulse on your hull and you can't fire the SNAC, because you need full energy to fire a SNAC. So, if you don't like the SNAC, then use a Mini Razor which you can spam like a NPC.
