Constructed in 777 A.S., the Battleship Rio Grande has been at the forefront of many assaults against the Xenos and Liberty Rogues. It first became famous in the 792 A.S. campaign against the Xenos in the Hudson system, later followed by the 808 A.S. campaign against the Liberty Rogues, again in the Hudson system.
