Duisburg was built in 805 A.S., being the first installation of the Unioners in the desolate Duesseldorf system. It was built as a remote hideout, where the Unioners could plan their actions in safety, and where Unioners who had drawn too much attention could hide for a while. Since then, the station has grown steadily but is still used in the same way. It operates as both a home and a minor headquarters for the Unioners.
