Synopsis

The Gaians are a terrorist faction opposed to any alteration to the natural environment of a planet, specifically those brought about through terraforming. They mainly operate in Edinburgh, in Bretonia space and the nearby Border Worlds, but some rumors tell about detected Gaians in Corsair space.

History

The first Gaians were not criminals, but simple, civilan scientists on Planet Cambridge in the Cambridge Research Institute. When the first rural meadows evolved, consuming the research areas of the Institute, some biologists who saw the far gone pollution and non-economical life of Bretonia decided to protect the last untouched areas of the Sirius space by force and weapons.

These radical scientists formed the origins of the Gaians, and in present days, Gaians are one of the biggest criminal groups in Bretonia space.The organisation have a lot of symphatisants in the Cambridge Research Institute, and due to the alliance with the Corsairs, many expedientless young Bretonians scared of leaving the home space choose to fight with the Gaians for a better and healthier Bretonia.
