This Mine field is a testement to LPI engineers. Dubbed the "Labyrinth" by the officers, it has thousands of 12 megaton mines, capable of destroying as much as a battleship that strays too close. Deep within the field is [[Attica Supermax]], the [[LPI]]'s secure prison. The main entrance is at the top of the field, guarded by 2 weapon platforms. Most visiting officers are suprised by the seemingly lack of security, but then they procced further. The mine field has almost 900 different paths within it. Take the wrong one, and you're a dead person. Each ship entering the field has the correct path entered into their nav-maps, and anyone deviating from the course set is asking for an early grave. A radio blanket covers the field, stopping all communications, and giving further warning to unauthorized pilots not to enter. Some pilots give rumors of a small passage at the bottom of the field though, but what it is for, noone knows...

BlueWarningTriangle.png A lot of these system pages are outdated, Space's nav map may be better.
Illinois System

Little is known about this Guard system. The Liberty Police Inc. Guard protects this system from enemy incursions with deadly force. Trespassers are killed on sight. The entry points into this system is not known on any unlawful database, and only the LPI officers know actually where this system is. The location of this system is on a need to know basis, it is usually considered Top Secret information. Rumors persist of a Supermax prison in this system, named Attica, surrounded by a almost impenetrable minefield. No ships are allowed to permanently dock there, only long enough to load / unload.

The Quincy asteroid field

The Quincy asteroid field covers the bottom half of the Illinois system, creating a powerful barrier for ships attempting to enter unannounced. Next to the field is the Colorado jump hole, guarded by the McNeil Island and Springfield station.

The Entrance of the 'Labyrinth' Mine Field

This Mine field is a testement to LPI engineers. Dubbed the "Labyrinth" by the officers, it has thousands of 12 megaton mines, capable of destroying as much as a battleship that strays too close. Deep within the field is Attica Supermax, the LPI's secure prison. The main entrance is at the top of the field, guarded by 2 weapon platforms. A radio blanket covers the field, stopping all communications, and giving further warning to unauthorized pilots not to enter. Some pilots give rumors of a small passage at the bottom of the field though, but what it is for, no one knows...
