Currently, the defensive significance of La Ferte-Bernard is in doubt, and the Royal Navy plans to transfer the facility to the Royal Police or sell it to one of the Gallic corporations. However, neither the police nor the corporations have shown any interest in acquiring an outpost which is rather expensive to operate. As a result Ferte-Bernard could end up being scrapped within the next ten to twenty years. |
