Designed especially for high casualty triage and medical treatment, Med-Stasis Bands wrap around the arm or leg of a patient. They are capable of functioning as a pressure bandage in case of wounds to the extremities, while simultaneously monitoring the patient's vital signs, and transmitting real time medical data to a remote station staffed by medical personnel. This enables staff to monitor multiple patients without physically inspecting them. The devices also are capable of administering a wide array of Pharmaceuticals by remote command, according to a schedule, or in response to a medical crisis such as cardiac arrest. Marketed by Cryer as the "nurse that never leaves your side," the devices have been swiftly adopted by medical establishments stretched to the breaking point by years of warfare.
