Biography

She grew up in rather poor conditions and without any parents. The only people that took care of her were a small group, consisting of three men and one woman, while the woman was engaged with one of the men. The woman, known by the name Stefanie Eberhart, was the only one of the group that cared about Nydia. If she wasn't, Nydia would have grown up in even poorer conditions as the men would have mistreated and abused her otherwise. She got everything she needed to grow up properly, but the older she got, the harder her life got. The men and even the woman began to treat her as a toy. They asked her to break into peoples homes and to steal precious goods. She didn't like it at all, but she didn't have a choice either as they threatened her with pain. So her life continued like this, she having to steal for the men while only receiving enough to eat to survive, being more or less kept hostage. However, from all the stealing, she gained new experiences and skills related to the opening and unlocking of doors and therefore it was rather easy for her to escape from the men and the woman. She eventually did that a few times, but they always managed to catch her and brought her back, punishing her with beating and the cancelling of food rations for her. But despite her life getting worse and worse when she attempted to escape, she kinda started to enjoy the thrill and risk from being caught and she also had some fun as she could finally see something else than the walls and ceiling of her room, where she was kept hostage.

Her life changed a lot as she managed to steal one of the Sabres from the Bundschuh. Having kept it a secret and when she attempted to run again, she would use it to escape. But she knew that she was inexperienced with the piloting of a vessel and that's why she made her first request, in the hope they would allow her to. She asked them if she was allowed to join them in the journeys so that she would see how to pilot a vessel. None of the men agreed to it, though. Merely and to Nydia's advantage Stefanie agreed to help her and take her with to the journeys, being unaware what Nydia was aiming for. To be allowed to come with Stefanie she had to behave, which she did. The relation between her and Stefanie was quite improved in the little time they were together, Stefanie thinking Nydia finally found her place to where she belonged. But after being on enough flights, she wanted to try it herself and so she escaped again, this time using the Sabre as help. Her flying for the first time seemed more to be the one of a drunk pilot, but after flying for some time, she figured out how to pilot the vessel properly and that would mean a huge change in her life. A new world with a lot of possibilities was waiting for her.

Even with the help of the Sabre, she couldn't manage to escape as the group was after her, the moment she disappeared. The punishment was even worse now, especially since she stole property of the Bundschuh. They tried to lock her away from the Sabre, but that didn't stop her to escape again. Eventually after flying around in Rheinland, without knowing where to go she met Pete Levine in the Hamburg system. That was not the only encounter, it was one of many while Pete needed help everytime she met him. And she didn't hesitate to help him out as she somehow liked him, probably because he was the only guy who was not going to hurt her unlike the rest of the guys she knew. Whatever it was, she saw him as the change in her life she was always searching for and began to increase her flight time drastically, in the hope she would see him more often and to simply be away from the Bundschuh.
