| − | Planet Nauru is a warm, bone-dry desert world with an atmosphere that is breathable although unpleasant, due to the large concentrations of hydrogen sulphide prevalent in the air, although at 0.0051 ppm it presents no health risk to humans. Initial surveys detected huge amounts of [[Iridium]] ore in the planetary crust, as well as many ancient structures and ruins dotted across the surface. The [[Corsairs]] eventually constructed a number of mining bases in conjunction with the [[Zoners]] in order to extract the Iridium, which is a critical component in antimatter based weaponry.
