Toshiro is a tall, silver haired man who has only recently entered his fifth decade of life but still bears a look of a young man, a young man that got his grays before time. He has deep green eyes packed with a distinctive scar going over his right eyebrow. Toshiro has a fairly muscular body which he earned with long years of unforgiving training, supervised by his late father, and keeps it in check regularly with daily training at the Kazoku Dojo. He wears several piercings that dictate his hereditary status, as the Head of the Kazoku. His usual day wear are white warrior robes decorated with black belts that form an x shape at his chest, and his family katana attached to lower left one.

Personality
Toshiro is a cold and seemingly emotionless person. He is never seen to smile or to express emotions of any kind. He rarely raises or lowers his ever monotone voice that goes with his rarely changed, grim face expression. All this makes him look more like a machine than a human being endowed with senses and emotions. He is known never to show mercy to his would be foes, even if they would beg on their knees. His own line: "Life is cruel, and in order to survive, one must become cruel himself..." has become the usual style of life and behavior for him. Being a cold and cruel person on one hand he is also very loyal to his family and those who would earn his respect on the other. He values honor more than anything and there is no greater shame for him than to be dishonored in any way.

Early Life
Not much is known about Toshiro's early life other than that he was the eldest child of four, in the main Watanabe Bloodline. He grew up during the times when the manor was empty, with the majority of the Kazoku population on planet Kitahara. Father always away, mother away as well, he was left to fend for his two brothers and sister alone, inside the enormous, empty manor. When Masahiro the current head of the Kazoku returned to the manor, he started to train Toshiro mercilessly in order to prepare him for his upcoming role of the next leader of the family. Although he didn't spare him one bit during his training, Toshiro had the utmost respect for the man, above anything else. When he was merely a teen, but still very mature for his age a newcomer came to his house, his name was Ujihiro. Toshiro looked at Ujihiro with distance always, never trusting him enough. It took years, Ujihiro started to look on Toshiro's sister and Toshiro didn't like it one bit. He always gave him cold looks and made it clear that he would never welcome him.

As much as other boys and girls went wild in their teen years, due to the changes that were occurring in their bodies, Toshiro seemed mostly unaffected by this. His only occupation was studying and daily training at the Dojo. His personal trainer was his father, who he rarely even saw, beyond the confines of the Dojo. His mother he saw even less, she was safely positioned on the new Kazoku compound on the planet Kitahara, with the great majority of other Kazoku members. His mother was a young woman, once a member of the Gas Miners Guild but now a wife of an esteemed Dragon and a mother of three. He never spent any time with his mother, and she seemed to avoid him, perhaps because he was always too serious, and wasn't the same like all other children. The one person he spent time with, during his childhood was his brother, Takeshi, a quiet and shy boy, much like Toshiro but again different. They trained together at the Dojo, from dusk till dawn, as if that was the only thing that they showed interest in. One time, when his father went to planet Kitahara, to pay a visit to his mother, he returned shortly after, clearly enraged and bitter. When Toshiro made some questions about his mother, his father avoided to talk about it. When he finally "opened up" he only stated that she was an immoral woman, a snake and that she brought shame to the family. Toshiro wondered what this meant but forgot about after a year. Only several years later, he discovered that his father found his mother with her lover, killed him and made her commit seppuku on the spot. Toshiro was burning from inside after this revelation, he isolated himself from everyone else and sat on the upper levels of Kyoto alone, most of the time. Unexpectedly, the only person that would approach him at that time, was that same newcomer he never liked, Ujihiro Ishimaru, now Watanabe.
