{{Review|[[User:Boss|Boss]]|Barghest. Beautiful ship. Not everyone can handle this bird, but in the hands of a master it's deadly. I've taken on swarms of fighters in it--and won. Make no mistake, this thing is made for piracy. The shield can soak up a transport's incoming fire while you wait for the 12,000 power to regenerate to fire the Supernova again. Yes, that's right, it takes about 2.5 seconds before you can fire a second shot. With a 47,000 capacity powercore regenerating at 5000 per second, it's able to keep the goldfish flying. Now, some people will say it's impossible to kill fighters in it, but I have to disagree. I've taken out eight people in a single fight with this thing, starting with three fighters and working up to a dual-missile gunboat. It's a beast, make no mistake.}}

The Barghest is a mythological creature from English folklore: a monstrous black dog with huge teeth and claws that comes at night to bring sorrow and fright. The fearsome name belongs to a ship no less fearsome: designed by the Liberty Rogues, the Barghest Bomber is the most heavily armored bomber built in known space, comparable to small gunships and Super Heavy Fighters in size. Piloted by a crew of three, this ship is not only capable of destroying enemy capital ships, but also has a large cargo hold capable of carrying much more salvage than any other fighter could take aboard.

This vessel, and the technology powering it, is jealously guarded by both of its parent organizations. Any pilot outside of their ranks found to be in its possession is subject to a short life indeed.
