Synopsis
Free Lancing Escorts & Repairs is a group of Freelancers that was founded by 2 men, Flavio Aetius and Wallace Emmerich
The main ideal of the group is to get as many contacts from Freelancers as possible, with the objective of facilitating cooperation between every freelancer around Sirius, effectively making "job hunting" easier.
"The more contacts you have, the more jobs you'll get", That's the philosophy that Aetius and Wallace believed in, and through unity between freelancers, everyone would benefit.
The pilots of FL-ER rarely target civilians or defenseless traders, directly. FL-ER's fighters target military targets only when violence is the only way to solve a conflitct. However, they have contributed in the help of civilians, indirectly, by supporting some unlawful groups throughout Sirius.
FL-ER wants to empower all the lone freelancers around sirius, by creating a large and influential network of freelancers.
History
Freelancing Escorts&Repairs, going by the tag [FL-ER] has seen the light of day when two men, influential Wallace Emmerich and a more obscure individual going by the name Flavio Aetius after a Roman figure back on Ancient Earth have shaken hands to create a better future for all Freelancers.
Both Wallace and Aetius cared for the little man and the man in the middle and observed that it was extremely hard for individuals and freelancers to build their own future in Sirius with all the big corporations spanning over entire solar systems across the super cluster which is Sirius.
They noticed that many start up freelancers give up on their dreams either because they have no connections to big, influential figures, or because of a lack of trust from potential clients.
An ambitious desire to create a network with an ideology similar to "of the people, for the people", the two men shared resources together and went forth to create a network of communications between freelancers and possible contractors and establish a name that people knew could be trustworthy.
The start of the organization was slow and went unnoticeable among the giants of Sirius, but their dream of a Freelancer network gave fruit when the organization's fame exploded thanks to the many increasing recommendations of different individuals and factions who employed their services across the sector.
The organization kept becoming more known, getting larger and stronger as contractors hired the capable men and women of FL-ER for escort services, mining operations and on-the-go repairs.
As the credits started to flow in, FL-ER grew and attracted even more individuals from all walks of life.
Nowadays FL-ER is a well-oiled functioning group well known in Bretonia and Rheinland for good quality services.
The increasing profits and number of memberships has allowed FL-ER to extend its services and now has become involved, although at a limited degree, in bounty hunting, but it is by far most well known for trading, supplying of privately owned stations and some members are even willing to provide wealthy clientele with high-risk merchandise, among other services.
Being a group of people from different walks of life, FL-ER's reputation with the factions of Sirius is often fluctuating.
The organization as whole has a general dislike of the Gallic invasion of Sirius and has participated in both paid work, and also voluntary missions to aid Bretonia against the Gallic Crown, granting them infamy in Gallia by being listed as enemies of Crown.
Because of the many different backgrounds of the people of FL-ER, some members have had no problem getting their hands dirty by establishing links between the group and other less than lawful factions, although to an outsider, FL-ER portrays itself as a law obeying corporation, a role which it fits very well.
The organization's policy is highly influenced by their current contractors, which has led them to odds with different criminal elements in Sirius, and at times, with police or other localized authorities, although the faction's lips-sweetening diplomacies has kept them out of serious trouble with House officials.
Wallace and Aetius remain the de-facto leaders of the organization, although the ranks are more of a promotional advertisement, as the members of FL-ER are mostly free to act on their own accord as long as their actions benefit, and do not bring harm to the organization as a whole.
Freelancing Escorts&Repair keeps getting larger and with increasing funding, is expanding it's already broad field of expertise, thanks to the individual skills of each of it's members.
Notable members have rose FL-ER from just another independent group of people, to one of the most successful organizations, so successful in fact, that when it comes to earning credits, FL-ER has become a gargantuan among independent factions.
Because FL-ER offers it's members complete individualism, it is impossible to view FL-ER as a single entity and not talk about it's most influential members.
Among them, there is a person going by his nickname Redfire, an ex-pirate who realized that he could make more credits by working with FL-ER in a single day than he would otherwise.
Redfire has led an organized strike team on the surface of Leeds, to attack a GRN prison camp and free the Bretonian civilians who were mistreated there.
Although his reasons were more of a personal matter, the success of his mission has changed the world for those prisoners, and now they view FL-ER as heroes who helped them when no one else did.
This mission has encouraged others to join FL-ER, people with fighting experience, with tactical minds and skills that will aid the organization whenever they may be required.
Jimmy had a great impact on the public relations front, participating in numerous contracts and negotiating contracts on his own even in a short period of time after having joined the group.
Nathan Zachary, a valiant guardian of the FL-ER's operations has done a lot of work mainly in Bretonia and files many reports of his daily adventures protecting civilians in Bretonia from pirates and Mollys.
Xalo Nunes also had an impact when it came to the relationship with Gaians, he was very fond of BMF| back in the days and actively fought against the Gaians to protect BMF|'s interests, which are FL-ER's main contractors.
Without these members, FL-ER would not have made it into the successful organization that it is today, but each and every member contributes to FL-ER in their own way, either by fulfilling contracts, opening new possibilities, conducting diplomacy and solving financial, or political issues, and all of this together benefit the faction as a whole, ensuring every member remains self-employed and that profit keeps flowing in.
Goals
1. Create a Unity between Freelancers in Sirius in order to make job-hunting easier for all.;
2. Continue to grow and, eventually, become one of the largest and most influential Inter-House organizations within Sirius.
3. Strenghen it's friendship and partnership with their older allies, namely The Archangels Fighter Club and BMF|.
Diplomacy
The FreeLancing Escorts & Repairs group works hard to stay in good terms with the authorities of each House. The image [FL-ER] shows to the public is that of a lawful group but secretly this group has created some connections with other factions that are of unlawfull nature, however, the members of [FL-ER] never break their code of conduct even when allying with these groups, meaning that they'll never participate in violent unlawful actions but rather just the occasional smuggling operation.
As such, [FL-ER] doesn't consider anyone as their true ally, the exception being the Bretonia Mining and Fabrication, corporation which has befriended [FL-ER] and largely supported their growth since the freelancer group was created, and The Archangels Fighter Club.
Allies:
Freelancers
BMF| Bretonia Mining and Fabrication
AFC| Archangels Fighter Club
Unfriendly:
GG- Gaian Guard
[M]- Molly
GRN| Gallic Royal Navy
Gallic Royal Police
Hostile:
[RHA] Red Hessian Army
Ranks
Fighter Ranks
General: Commander of the [FL-ER]. Although in a freelancer group there are no leaders, the General is the most experienced pilot and possess the necessary leadership skills to be in charge and all members should listen to him.
Colonel: The rank of Colonel is given to those who are used to battlefields and can keep calm and cold-headed in dire situations. They are Veterans in the battlefield. Colonels must be capable of elaborating complex plans and execute them. He most have good leadership skills.
Major: Experienced pilot and leader, Majors are usually very intelligent and resourcefull, they are mainly experienced in small covert operations with fighters.
Captain: Captains are usually veteran pilots with some experience in the battlefield. If there isn't anyone with a higher rank than Captain nearby, the freelancers should listen and follow the Captain's suggestions.
Lieutenant: Lieutenants are the veteran pilots that usually oversee what those less experienced do and teach them how to improve. They are very good fighters.
Sergeant: Sergeants are, just like Lieutenants pilots that usually oversee those less experienced. There isn't much difference between a Sergeant and a Lieutenant, but Lietenants usually have more experience.
Corporal: Corporals are the basic fighters of [FL-ER] they have already completed basic training and are now fit to fight for themselves.
Private: The initiate rank on [FL-ER], any pilot that decides to join [FL-ER] is ranked Private, and after being evaluated on their fighting skills, may be promoted to Corporal, or stay in the same rank until completion of basic training.
Transport Ranks
Chief Engineer:This person has direct reports. He, hires, fires, is responsible for the group's bank. A Chief Engineer makes the decision to focus on leadership skills. This is someone who has good communication skills and negotiates contracts with other functional groups
Lead Engineer:This is the head technical person on projects. They're expected to lead engineers by example, showing and teaching them how to successfully complete a contract, such as, supplying bases.
Engineer:Engineers are the pilots of Transport Class Ships, they are entrusted with supplying bases and other jobs in which is required to haul a large ammount of commodities.
Note
Under normal circumstances, we treat each other as equals and the ranks are more of a rewards for pilots, than actuall positions of power. They can be used as a guildlines by new pilots, so they know who is an acomplished member of the group and could potetionally provide help and guidance, in case they find themself in need of those.
However, in combat situations, equality is not always the best thing and because of that, pilots are advised - but not obliged - to listen to members with higher ranks, since they usually have more combat experience.
The other pourpose our ranking system has is to create a public face of the group. Since dealing with group of individuals can be problematic for factions and corporations that are not used to it, members of higher ranks are usually the ones to communicate on behalf of the group. There is of course inner discussion before each communication is issued, but to avoid confusion, only a few pilots communicate our colective decisions to our contractors and other parties.

Every Freelancer is a different man with his own independence, However all members of FL-ER should follow its code of conduct.
Never attack innocent nor defenseless civilians, do not participate in violent unlawfull actions. Be ready to protect those who need you!
We are freelancers, we live and work for money, even if it involves smuggling.
Duties of every [FL-ER] Pilot
Never attack the Innocent and Defenseless, even if they work for the enemy. We are honorable pilots.
Never forget to honor the contracts we make with other groups.
Protect those in need.
Respect your comrades.
Absolute Truth
All Freelancers are Independent!
Equipment
This list of Equipement isn't intended to impose YOU, Freelancer, to use any specific ship that lays throughout Sirius, however is intended to give you an idea how to start your Freelancer career.
Warships:RESTRICTED
Bustard: Although, compared to his brothers this might present itself weak. However it's true strenght lies in the skilled fighters it can hold and carry into the midst of danger.
Enterprise: Seemed initally just a luxury liner, yet with the retrofits done, we can apply it to harsh situations, wether is it support on the battlefield, as used previously, or used to transport civilians/refugees. This Liner in the hands of a freelancer is a usefull tool which can take a punch even when the situation doesn't favor our odds.
Fighters
Marauder: The marauder , although not the most agile ship of its class it is still one of the best. With a great turn rate, the best power output of all Heavy Fighters (matching that of an Eagle) it is one of the best choices for Heavy Fighter pilots.
Eagle: Being the most agile civillian Very Heavy Fighter and having an average Very Heavy Fighter power output the Eagle is the perfect choice for freelancers throughout Sirius.
Warran: Even though the Warran is not as agile as the Roc or Havok Mk II , its power output , superior hull, larger hold size, a larger number of nanobots and shield batteries plus the incredible abillity to support two bomber torpedos and a freighter class shield the Warran is by far one of the best bombers avaible to civillians.
Spatial: Used as a supporting vessel for its incredible firepower and hull , being comparable to Heavy Bombers or small Gunships.
Condor: The condor is nowhere near as powerfull as the other gunboats sold throughout Sirius but being one of the only avaible for civillian purchase it is a great ship in most situations, being able to take out any fighter, bomber or transport and more then capable of helping fighting other ships of its class.
Transports
Camara:The camara not only has the second largest cargo hold of all freighters, making it a great and cheap ship for anyone to start trading, but can still carry quite a punch. Its slim design and agillity make it able to dodge Antimatter Cannons at close range and survive a fight while outnumbered in the right hands. Having a hull size much bigger then any Very Heavy Fighter and a far superior shield the camara can outlast most fighters if properly used.
Serenity:Having the second largest cargo hold avaible to freelancers, the serenity is one of the best choices for independent traders. With a nice cargo hold of 3600 units while mainting a price smaller than that of the junker's Salvager or the Border Worlds Transport , the Serenity is the favourite transport of many freelancers around the Sirius sector.
Pitbull:The pirate train is the largest transport any freelancer is allowed to fly surprassing the Serenity's cargo by 700units. Although illegal in most Houses , the Pitbull is one of the most used ships for the purpose of smuggling.
You are a disgrace. I was pirating and one of you was waiting almost half an hour on the other side of the jumpgate. Kudos. really, that i out of boredom head back to dock and log off. Good night, thank you for the end of my evening and wasting 30 minutes of my free time.

So you wanted that our traders just go straight at you, so that you can ask our traders for a fee and maybe kill them? Is that It ?I quite didn't understand your problem. Besides He was waiting for a fighter that was going to escort him.
Killing is My Business..........And Business is GOOD!

The friendliness is not with all BMM, but only specifically with the sub-faction BMF| (Bretonia Mining & Fabrication)
You can find the necessary information here: BMF| contract message dump.
EDIT: I noticed there was some informartion on the diplomacy that were outdated. I have corrected it.
I wanna know what's that about, since it's a bit over the top of what a "Freelancer" would do and makes no sense, AT ALL[. So i would like an explaination about this. Not to mention this came out of nowhere, when our patrols are roaming around like never before, i even doubt our people (iRP) would even let anyone approach Leeds the way you (Redfire) mentioned.

I will be waiting your response.
You shall have your response.
1. Redfire acted on his own, not on behalf of FL-ER, he merely requested their aid and some of them agreed to help him. It is mentioned in the thread about the attack on Leeds (specifically the one in Stories&Biographies) that Redfire refers to the team he gathered as "Militaires Sans Frontieres" a name that FL-ER uses for itself, in order to make his team feel better about the mission.
2. Back in 4.85 and throughout the late 4.86 Redfire was a local pirate in Liberty, mostly active in Galileo and California. Followed by a period of my own inactivity through most of 4.87, I've written in Redfire's story how he has been arrested by the LPI, a Bretonian mercenary who Redfire met in prison helped him and several others escape from that prison. Once they went free, the Bretonian learned about the Gallic invasion of Leeds and went to fight for the resistance as a means to earn his keep and reputation, Redfire never paid him back, as the invasion of Leeds progressed and BAF support declined, the Bretonian contacted Redfire in hopes that he could send aid of any sort, Redfire saw this as a way to return the favor and make up for his past crimes.
3. FL-ER is a well funded organization with a group of trained fighters, mostly working as escorts, but since Redfire was already part of the group, he figured he could persuade them to help him return the favor to his friend, which he did.
EDIT: About the patrols you mentioned, most freelancers and pirates are aware about a jump hole located in Magellan leading directly into Leeds so they did not have to actually fly through Bretonian space, and the transport there will be protected by a cloud, the only exposure will be between the cloud and planet Leeds itself, where the GRN patrol DID find the transport and eventually shot it down as mentioned in the story.
I hope this answers your questions, if you wish I clarify anything else, I'll be happy to do such.
Quote:Greetings mighty Comrades! Here talks the Captain Nathan Zachary with another story to tell. I was escorting my dear ally IMG faction carrying some Cobalt Ore to Planet Denver. After that we picked up some Coffee to take to Java. During the travel we met an Indipendent Junker Gunboat, but he didn't talk with us, probably screamed. We arrived safely to Java, sold the Coffee, but my eyes saw some Dragon activity in Nagano, I hope they don't do something against our contract fulfill base. So I went to the Kusarian system, and I was right about that, they are trying to destroy the Xuanming Trade Centre, and I saw also some Order agents guarding if no one comes. Unfortunately they don't know I'm coming to protecting Xuanming, or at least I try *laughs*. I talked with them, asking about this choice of destroying the base, but they respond with the typical answer "none of your business*. This answer anger me so I respond with: What if I do this? In that moment 2 torpedos run out from my jewel bomber and hit directly a static bomber, destroying in a thousand of yellow pieces. At last an Ion Storm hit the area, so I was capable to escape, cause I got no chance against a lot of Blood Dragon Capitals. But I'm satisfied about at least trying to defend an allied base. Now I'm resting at a Freeport in the Taus, waiting for another adventure.
Next time I really kinda expect more from your guy. And yes he is right, he sat 500-M behind a guy typing a message to him and fired two torpedo's. Where your wrong is how you logged back in after the restart and ignored a battleships order's to leave and then was blasted out of the sky. Please at least when you make an MD, tell everything that happened rather then just 20% of it. We told you to get lost, I did, the Order did and so did the others, you gave us 4 lines before you engaged. Not only did you fail for quite some time about your attack, you only managed to kill a player who was responding to you, a stationary one, by sitting 500-M behind him and firing torpedo's. I saw you do it, and I got screens of it. I will also say that the guy never said anything before you engaged, so you'd also like to know you technically silent engaged a guy who was typing out their engagement message. I heard a lot of good things about FL ER but honestly what happened in Nagano...
A guy with 865 Ping, 100% Lag attacked us, I told him in a PM to leave due to the lag and instead he continues to lag and fire missiles instead. Yes, I did PM you, and I said in local "Oh god, that guy has a short ranged jump drive, look at him!"
thank you for your warning Shizune. I will warn nathan and try to clear this out for why he shot soo soon and without the BD engaging him or sending an engagement warning to the chat.
