I suggest this as a capship player:

1. Return the SNAC to its original stats - or even increase its damage output by 15-20%
2. Reduce bomber turn rate by 5%
3. Refit bombers with fighter guns.

Bombers are specialists, not jacks of all trades. They're meant to make capship pilots pee their pants, not hold their own against fighters.
If a bomber pilot and a fighter pilot of roughly equal skill duel, the bomber should lose a majority of the fights.
Just my subjective opinion.
SNAC works well on Mep's bottom.
If you ask me, Disco's whole bomber concept was flawed from conception. Bombers should be large (like GB large), slow, designed to engage capital-sized targets at range, and do devastating amounts of damage, but should be glass cannons unable to operate effectively on their own. If the enemy has fighter cover or the bomber gets too close, they should get shredded. Think of the large resistance bombers at the start of The Last Jedi, but give them torpedoes instead of those weird bombs.

Then there's the Starlancer concept of bombers, which were basically torpedo boats; Big, slowish targets carrying devastating ordinance.

You being bad at playing Bombers doesn't mean that the SNAC isn't an excellent tool vs Caps of all sizes
Make bombers totally vulnerable for snubs, but with ability to deal catastrophical damage for caps. They will do everything specialised for. For example:
- Increase SNAC, Corona multiplier and Nova damage;
- Decrease ship agility and armor, increase ship size;
- Make another Hellfire-style torpedoes with lower speed, but higher damage for heavy gun hardpoints;
- Make highly explosive, but low-ammo torpedoes aren't able to blow up other snubs, like current Nova does.

As result, caps will require escort snubs to cover them and bombers will escort snubs as well.

I always thought that Starlancer should have served as something of a base for bombers.
Absolute glass cannons helpless against fighters, but capable of quite possibly the highest damage in the entire game leaving capships without fighter escorts completely helpless against them.
at this point anythings better than the bombers we have now and i feel like everyone would enjoy a glass-cannonesque type of bomber
way more damage potential than right now but they either get scaled up so they die faster or their total health pool gets shredded
