OCV Infinitum is an Order battleship that was commissioned April 7th of 819A.S. solar date, after its construction on Evora Shipyard that took over two years and costing over two billion Sirius credits. The Infinitum was never intended to be a manned ship, but to be controlled by an Artificial Intelligence. Consequently the Infinitum's inhabitable interiors are much lesser than on other CV-1 class battleships. The vessel's interiors only holding a few quarters for any crew, a bridge, the main AI core and a briefing room.
The Infinitum is based on the CV-1 design. But its interiors are completely refitted with most of the space being used to several AI cores, servers, cloaking device, powercores, engine and weapon systems. The ship was mainly designed by Alexei Dolzaev, an ex-Coalition engineer who eventually leaped to The Order after Coalition's and The Order's relations got severed.
The Infinitum is mainly focused to operate in cyberwarfare, reconnaissance and undercover hit-and-run assignments. Its technical equipment representing the top of The Order's engineers know-how. Equipped with the latest prototype jamming, hacking, infiltration and firewall technology, and a scanner capable of detecting ships across interstellar distances, the Infinitum has one of the most advanced cyberwarfare arsenal ever to see the battlefield.
PAIS-1 "HEL" III
PAIS-1 III or "HEL", is the main artificial intelligence designed to command Infinitum. PAIS-1 III was built after the two earlier designs, PAIS I and PAIS-3 "AMANDA" II, designed by Thomas Russell, a Zoner engineer. Two of "HEL's" earlier forms were both used on Order capital ship vessels, but both were decommissioned as they began the construction of Infinitum. Unlike its two earlier forms, "HEL" is able to communicate with the Nomads because of Russel's breakthrough in the field of cybernetics after fifteen years of researching about infusing Nomad artifacts into the AI's main cores, making it able to receive telepathic Nomad messages.
"HEL" is capable of independent programming, making it able to re-program itself for new objectives and fix programming flaws in its scripts. The artificial intelligence was designed to resemble a "human way of thinking" as closely as possible, with eliminating the human predisposition to making mistakes and emotional risk factor. Also not possessing any fear of death, "HEL" does not suffer from any kind of post-traumatic stress disorder in the battlefield and/or aftrerwards. Being an emotionless artificial intelligence and not capable of feeling any sympathy or affection towards one, "HEL" is not something one would want to get caught by when one is doing something unwanted within the Order space. However Order agents placed a heavy inhibitions into changing its Order directives, making "HEL" forced to follow The Order's highly ranked officer's commands and regulations. Thus making it unable to betray The Order on its own, despite of its more or less "free" human-like mind.
Because "HEL" doesn't posses any limitations set by the human body like exhaustion, thirst or hunger, the Infinitum is able to operate independently without any human avail for decades within deep space, making it an ideal ship for undercover reconnaissance missions.
Long Range Recon and Interceptor Drones
Infinitum also holds several smaller unmanned drones designed to be sent deep into the inner systems of the Sirius sector to provide information and/or intercept any smaller hostile crafts detected by the Infinitum. All of the drones are remotely controlled by "HEL" from the Infinitum, but are capable of operating on their own for a limited time, all of them being equipped with a simple secondary conveyor belt built artificial intelligence.
No important and/or classified information is stored on the drones in case of them being captured by anyone outside the Order ranks.
