Planet Istres in Provence is a small-sized gas world with an atmosphere mostly containing hydrogen and methane. The planet was chosen as the site for the Monte Carlo Freeport construction, and the Freeport is currently located in close orbit. Istres forms a spectacular background visible to Monte Carlo's visitors, with its rapidly changing cloud exterior reminding them of the inconstancy of all things human and cosmic, including the contents of their wallets.
