KKS-Tannenberg - KGD Flagship

The KKS-Tannenberg, one of Rheinland's powerful "Tirpitz"-Class Vessels, is currently in service of the KGD Oberkommando. According to official reports, the RWK-Tannenberg is stationed in the Thuringia System It's task is simple - Serve the Direktor as Command Unit and secure the Restricted areas of the KGD The KKS-Tannenberg is heavily armed and equipped with all kind of brand new Technologies, which is provided to the Direktor.

The vessel is officially under the Command of Horst Christoph Stieglitz.

Background

The most recent formation within the KGD thanks to the re-taking of eastern Thuringia, the Tannenberg flotilla was secretly commissioned to ensure the defence of the Planet Weimar and the newly built Jena-Shipyard. The flotilla command ship, The Tannenberg, is currently equipped with the latest issued equipment and onboard laboratories and currently serves as a mobile operations for the infamous Kommissariat and co-ordinates the Thuringia defences under KGD and Rheinwehr authority.

The flotilla is responsible for continuing the Quarantine in the Thuringia system, an order implemented after "The-Great-Purge" to isolate the spread of Wilde infection risk into the rest of Rheinland. While the fleet have the most updated naval serial lists for registered combat vessels. Risk of civilians being infected within the system, and most pilots are already ironed stomached to not give a chance to let them leave if caught and they won't second-guess their decisions, the serving agents of this flotilla will use lethal force and only lethal force.

During the Civil War in Rheinland, the former Commander of the „Tannenberg“ left the BDM and joined the Kaiserliche Polizei, he handed the Command to Kommissaroberrat (a.D.) Horst Stieglitz. He commanded the ship under the flag of the Buro, until he realized the intentions of the former Direktor to turn against the Military and go rogue on the newly formed Rheinland Government. Stieglitz no longer supported these aims and left the BDM, with his Flotilla and the Command Unit „Tannenberg“.

In 827 A.S. Horst Stieglitz was ordered, by the Kaiser and his Reichskanzler, to form an imperial secret service together with Katharina Dietrich. Stieglitz knew Reichskanzler Koch since Koch‘s time as Direktor of the BDM. He did as ordered and took his Flotilla with him. The „Tannenberg“ now serves as Flagship of the KGD.
