Thor Schlaechter, (born March 3rd in 779) serves as Flieger in the Rheinland Military. He enlisted in order to defend his fatherland from the Libertorian threat and signed up for a twelve year long Hauptmann-Career. His unit was recently deployed in Hudson after finishing the regular flight training period.

Youth

Thor Schlaechter, born to Ferdinand and Julia Schlaechter, was raised on Planet Hamburg / Winterhude Stadt, where he visited the public school and made his Abitur by the age of 20 after having to repeat the 8th grade because of rampant behavior during his puberty. His father, Ferdinand, became a successful engineer and administrator in the armament industry after his time of service in the Military. Because of his young son's evident misbehavior, he spent much of his free time with him after Wotan turned 15, teaching him that only Order, Discipline and Punctuality were the reason for Rheinland being the most advanced and strongest Nation in Sirius. Ferdinand's influence on his son were the main reason for Wotan's development of patriotic believes that eventually motivated him to enlist in the Military in order to start a career as officer.

Service in the Rheinland Military

Right after getting his Abitur, Thor Schlaechter enlisted in the Rheinland Military for a twelve year long Hauptmann-Career in Space Born Service. He finished his theory lessons and simulator training on planet Hamburg and his live training in the Braunschweig System on Mecklemburg Station within schedule. After six months he and the other Pilots in his unit had been assigned Wraith VHFs. After another month of field training, his Unit was redeployed and assigned for supportive duty. It is largely responsible for guarding convoys from New Berlin and Hamburg to the Front Lines of the Hudson System. He made him self known among his comrades and superiors as a disciplined and reliable, yet quiet and friendly pilot.

Future Service Schedule

His current company will be deployed in the Northern Front Line of Bering for combat service after finishing six months of guard duties. If Schlaechter should survive, his contract of service dictates a promotion to Faehnrich after three years and redeployment to New Berlin where he has to choose a subject at the military university to study. Finishing hes degree after another three years, he will be promoted to Leutnant and assigned his first command. After another six years of successful service, he will be promoted Hauptmann.
