Orbiting Planet Wiesbaden is Wolfsburg Shipyard - the main facility in charge of Red Hessian vessel design and construction. With the escalation of the Hessian - Corsair conflict in the middle of the 8th century, demand for heavier and larger vessels began to rise. The improvised dry dock at Vogtland was hard pressed with the ever increasing need for more starships, and was unable to construct more than one capital ship at a time. A dedicated shipyard facility was required in order to continue the expansion into the Omega systems. The Omega-54 system was chosen as the perfect place for this new project.

The first components were completed in 775 A.S. Since then Wolfsburg has been responsible for construction of most Hessian capital ships fighting in the Omega border worlds, and its engineering crews are constantly working on new designs as well as improvements on existing ones, to further the fighting ability of Hessians across all their battle lines.
