Named after the rock badgers indigenous to the mountainous regions of Planet Le Mans in the Maine system, the Gallic Miner was commissioned by GMS especially for use in Gallia's hazardous asteroid fields, where the dangers range from collisions to hostile pirates. The Rock Badger's mining yield is most efficient when paired with a sister transport, since its cargo hold is relatively small. The vessel is sold openly on the Gallic civilian ship market, and is trusted by corporations and lone miners alike for its sturdiness and solid design. | Named after the rock badgers indigenous to the mountainous regions of Planet Le Mans in the Maine system, the Gallic Miner was commissioned by GMS especially for use in Gallia's hazardous asteroid fields, where the dangers range from collisions to hostile pirates. Review (4.86)
The Rock Badger is a very deadly mining ship. Like the hegemon, it fires only eight of its turrets in either direction, but that's a good amount of firepower for this ship. It's much smaller than the hegemon, but has just as much firepower and almost as much hull. Its small size allows it to effectively dodge torpedos, and its ability to reverse thrust at 32 ms makes reversing thrust actually viable. Its ability to mine is pretty much as expected, with its shape. Its weapons aren't spread out as much as the hegemon, so you won't have as much scattershot to hit random asteroids with, but it's still got some spread, and it's well enough for a miner.Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Review by TLI-Inferno |
