- This is a player owned ship.
Formerly owned by a rogue Junker, who abandoned his brethren due to a conflict of ideologies only to find his beloved ship captured by the Raiders, and ending up dead.
The Raiders, upon making their first journey into the Tau systems, found this ship and to their fortune it was just what they were looking for. They posed as simple travelers that were disabled and in need of medical assistance. The captain of the ship, unlike his former Junker brethren was good hearted and overly trusting strangers. As they got onto the ship, they immediately started to show hostility and in this surprise attack managed to capture the ship, taking all those who survived as slaves and selling them to the Outcasts thus gaining their approval to an extent. Seeing how profitable this is, they decided to make themselves one of the major suppliers of slaves, rarely purchasing them and more often than not - capturing.
Due to discovering they can score even higher profits, the Raiders decided to make runs of Cardamine, right into the heart of Liberty, a territory then more than unknown to them. They found Liberty full of targets, much merchandise to plunder and slaves to capture, at least for the time being. Despite that it was a rich land, they quickly lost interest due to the Navy patrols that plagued the area and moved back to the Tau systems.
After a relatively long time, The Golden Sheik, due to his age and the ever increasing numbers of Raiders is decommissioned and replaced by The Rising Sun which was also captured in a similar manner and now serves as its successor.
