Origins
Mildra Marte was born on Holmfirth Base. Her parents were activists in one of the gaian movements. Branded terrorists, they tried to shield her from a life on the run so they smuggled Mildra to Planet Cambridge. She was raised by a foster family. She received a good education and as a teenager she enjoyed flying. Her pilot license soon followed and she even landed on a good job position for the Cambridge Institute of Zoology. She was the pilot that took students and researchers to different locations. She learned a lot from them. She studies focused on wildlife. Feline species in particular. She traveled a lot to Planet Gaia to discover some unique species. That's where she met the Gaians.
Mildra wasn't very interested in politics and everyday news. The Gaians were just another organization for her. Not terrorists. The only terrorists she knew were the Corsairs and an old defunct group called The Phantoms. Terrorist is the human that kills in order to spread fear. The Gaians didn't fit this description. They were killing for other reasons. Needless to say that the Gaians didn't attack or intervene in any way. They were only observing her studies. Her non-intrusive methods on gaian wildlife assured her security.
However, not everyone was peaceful on Gaia. The giant wildlife, especially the reptilian species were very hostile and not once they almost killed Mildra. One time, her ship was damaged and she couldn't take off. The Gaians were the ones that saved her. That's when she met her real parents. She went to Holmfirth with them. Of course, they insisted that she would go back to Cambridge but she wanted to hear their story. She started to understand what they were fighting for. She went back to Cambridge and in the following year she completed her studies; presented her project and then, she vanished. She joined one of the Gaian movements.
Evolution
Her primary target were the BMM bases in Manchester, especially the ones in the close proximity of Holmfirth. Between two lane raids, she also continued her studies, independently. She organized trips on certain planets in order to observe the wildlife.
Mildra became obsessed with the idea that Planet Gaia is a physical representation of goddess Gaia. She believes that Gaia is the one and true God that made everything in the Universe. However, the unexpected evolution of mankind is now threatening Gaia herself. She believes that Gaia came up with a plan to stop this. Two very distinct groups, her loyal servants: The Watchers and the Guardians. That's right, she strongly believes that the Nomads are actually Guardians of Gaia and that both them and humans were created by Gaia. She intends to research the origins of life and prove that humans and nomads evolved from the same primordial cell. For that, Mildra wants to launch a major project that will last for decades. She wants to kickstart it. Phase one will be the establishment of a base on Planet Gaia. The labs there will research the evolution on life on this planet. Phase two will most probably involve the study of artifacts and nomads. And finally, for phase three, Mildra believes that a trip back to the Solar System will be necessary.
She was planning an expedition on Gaia when she had encountered alien lifeforms. She was influenced by them to go on Gaia alone, without a science team. Her attacks on trading convoys started to be more aggressive. In the end, she departed for the expedition. The Nomads followed her on the surface of the planet. That's where her body was infected with an incubus - a nomad form that could control its host body. This was Mildra's end.
Das Wilde
It was strange for the Nomads to target a member of a small terrorist organization such as the Gaians. What possible influence they could have on Sirius politics? Yet, they infected Mildra and now they got plans for her. From her recent actions, she's about to drag the Gaians in conflict with parties that have been neutral or even friendly until now. They hope that her actions will destabilize the Bretonian underground world before her real nature is revealed. Mildra's actions since her infection included attempts of assassination against Bretonian Armed Forces officers, misleading information sent to Gallic Royal Navy fleets and even attempts to break the non-aggression stance towards the Mollys. As long as the other Gaians don't start asking questions, she's able to do accomplish her plan.
As a secondary task she has to infect or trick a gunner and an engineer into joining her crew for Panthera, her Claymore class gunship that's waiting to be used in Omega-55. She will be able to influence the minds of other humans in time. Right now, she can make little incursions in sleeping minds. She can alter dreams resulting either in a tranquil sleep or a horrific nightmare for her victim.
Relations
Mildra Marte had no love interest. While she was desired by many, she never involved herself in a relation. She created an image of ice queen but she did care for a small group of people. Among them was Kate McKinley also known as Flora. After the infection, the two only met twice and none of them were working for the gaians. Fate has taken them on separate paths.
