'''Bretonian Privateers''' have evolved into an more or less organised and powerful pirate faction operating in [[Bretonia]] and [[Tau]] space and surrounding [[Independent Worlds]] and Gallic worlds. They were created by the Bretonian government as [[Freelancers]] that should harm the [[Kusari]]s in the first [[Tau War]]. Since the Gallic invastion they have chanced their main goal from [[Kusari]] to (royal) [[Gallia]]. Their forward base "[[Providence Station]]", was built by part they captured from Gallic transporters in the [[Taus]] or occupide systems. The Privateers are operating with the [[Anti Gallic Royal Alliance]], but are not part of it. They are privateers and no military army; so they prefer to work on their own or with little help from the [[BAF]] or [[Maltesian Navy]].
