"Why don't you get off from that chair and do something about it" - Kari Rollin to a fellow male officer
Early years
Born on Planet New London she lived an ordinary life with her parents and 2 older siblings Alex and Natasha. While her family was in a somewhat difficult position though, she enjoyed education in middle school of the small town just outside the capital. A place that wasn't frequented by space ships that much in comparison to capitals. It was giving her and her family everything they needed. Everything but a promising income. When Kari just became ten years old and her mother, Jessica, became pregnant and therefore unable to work, the reserves the family put aside were slowly eaten away by taxes and bills. It was a short moment of joy though, as Jessica gave birth to her third child, Mark. Not as if that would make things less hard anyway.
The circumstances became more and more difficult and after a couple of years of desperately trying to get hands on more cash, they were forced out. Forced to find a cheaper place to live in, they departed in one late night from their home, only taking the most necessary things with them. Having saved a tiny bit of money due to selling their furniture, the family booked a ticked to the nearest space port, hoping to get into space, to make a new home on a space station, as it was known to be cheaper than living on a planet. It would succeed to find a ship, after all, and as they were about to take off to their, hopefully, new home, Kari and her sister Natasha got separated from their family, the girl's attention drawn by an interesting machine, which seemed to look fancy. The shuttle took off without the two girls, leaving them alone in the big machine, eventually getting trapped in as it seemed to be a space ship as well. Separated from their family, the girls had to see her being moved through space, alone. All that kept her going was the look of space. They arrived at Tau-37 and Freeport 10, and both were picked up by an Outcast pilot and brought back to Malta. Luck might had been with her when those strange people considered to keep them both for adoption.
Time passed, Natasha went on to work for the shipyards and became head foreman of her division. Kari pursued her dream of becoming a pilot ever since she saw that machine. She was accepted and went into the command school and graduated. Kari was promoted to the rank of Commander, faster than anyone in the Maltanese fleet. Kari is well identified for the obscure yet different tattoos she has. Her tattoos are those of two rows of spots going down each side of her body, from forehead to toe. Kari said she got the idea from a friend who had spots that made a halo around her head.
Life Of A Commander
"The past is a ghost, the future a dream. But now is all we have" - Kari Rollin to a fellow crew-member
Kari became the Commanding officer of the MN Siberia a heavy armed Border Worlds Gunboat. She made it know to the manufacture that her sister be the one to head the construction of said ship. The ship itself has Armour plating that gives the base Armour 3.5 times its regular number allowing it to withstand attacks from destroyers and a handful of Cruisers.
She knew that she could die every day, but all these dangers meant nothing for her and her crew. She worked out an agreement with the MN and the BAF to allow her to help out in repelling the Gallian invaders of Bretonia. She currently works out of the Newcastle system helping out with what she can to make sure those lines don't fall and that Bretonia can muster up the proper forces to take back what was theirs.
