Built in response to the ever-increasing pirate attacks taking place within Ontario, the Markham Picket is designed to be a dedicated patrol operations center coordinating and directing Liberty Police, Inc. (LPI) forces wherever they are required.

The remote positioning of the Picket, stationed between the Huron and Georgian Ice Fields, suggests the police are focusing their efforts primarily upon the Xenos, who frequently raid convoys of Military Vehicles from somewhere within the fields. However, this increased interest may not be solely for the benefit of Liberty as the exporting station of said vehicles, Fort Severn, is also owned by LPI and provides a large portion of the company’s profits.
