Built upon the experience gained by years of Colonial shipbuilding, the Nyx class is the most advanced Fighter type available in the Republic. The lessons learned from the Eros class light Fighter design as well as the study of hostile flight tactics have been combined to a deadly weapon. Its unmatched speed and unrelenting brutality as well as the simple maintenance make this vessel the Colonial fleets standard fighter.

Handling

Review A nimble and slim-profiled fighter. It's power core is fairly average, and it's handling is as well, but from the front or side, it presents a very small profile to hit. Weapon placement has the class 10 slots on the two wings, one at the top and one at the bottom, giving a rectangular firing pattern. The two class 9 guns are closer to the cockpit. The torpedo slot is nicely centered for the minirazor - but the powercore of this fighter causes most folks to mount a cruise disruptor instead. Review Adding to Doleo's view, I tested out the Nyx in several battles with Sabres, and I have to say that it needs a description change "Nyx space inferiority fighter, is simply put,the worst. Though, it did an awesome job against the other fighters I fought, it seems like I had problems only with Sabres and Krakens.
