The Bretonian Government initially refused due to the BMM already having caused the uprising in Dublin that resulted in the formation of the Molly movement, and these days it argues that South Shields makes a good "hostage" to blackmail the IMG with in case the miners openly support [[Kusari]] during the war, although many believe it is unlikely the IMG will do so.
