Jakarta Orbital Facility was built in 816-817 A.S. as a foundation of Independent Miners Guild colonization of the formerly desolate Tau-39 system. Populated by a large number of miners and their families, the station is an important outpost in the ever ongoing colonization of Tau space by the IMG. The station has seen a spurt of expansion recently as Guild leaders opened the system to general commerce. This has resulted in Jakarta becoming ever more important to the IMG as a core station, and central to their goals.
