The first Corsair Cruiser, also known as the Praefect, was constructed at Tripoli Shipyard more than 100 years ago. In the recent decades more ships of this type were built to counter capital ships of Corsairs' enemies, mainly the Red Hessians. Known as the most powerful pirate cruiser in all Sirius sector, the Praefect is known for its reinforced hull, and reliable power array capable of supporting the most powerful cruiser weaponry.

The first and only Cruiser design to have been used by the Corsairs, the Praefect was first produced after necessary engine and core-reactor technologies were obtained from the Order shortly after the establishment of the Corsair-Order alliance. However, designs for the vessel may be much older.

Review
The most beautiful and the sexiest lady of her class, and also the deadliest pirate babe of Sirius. Strong armor, huge power core and 12 turrets that can all fire forwards and 9 backwards, then the agility is no problem for a Cruiser. She can fire ~3 Light Mortals in a row and most fights will end before 8x Corsairs turrets can completely drain her energy. The Praefect fulfills the role of a support capital, capable of dealing terrible damage from a safe distance to whatever bigger than a Bomber, while dodging Mortals. A CD slot and a CM give even more power to her. Two Praefects can take down a Dreadnought with ease, however, skills and good practice will be needed to fight against attacking snub crafts. This ship has quite a big profile on the top and bottom size and turn slowly. Vertical strafing is well recommended and bumping other cruisers or gunboats is a good tactic. It's notable that all of her turrets can fire forward, posing extreme offensive power. The 12 turrets slots can be divided into 3 groups:
