Nimes is the second largest settlement (after Planet Quillan) in Languedoc, a system located on the very edge of the Gallic space. For nearly 15 years, it was one of the few places controlled by the lawful Gallic forces after Languedoc system was overrun by the Council. However, in 814 A.S. it was quietly penetrated by Council special forces with the help of loyal civilians. In a few hours, all Police and Navy defenders were neutralized, and the Council reported the most bloodless victory in the history of Second Gallic War. Nimes was abandoned by Council forces prior to the GRN invasion of Languedoc, allowing the Gallic Navy to reclaim the station without firing a single shot.
