There weren’t any messages from survivors of that battle, and it wasn’t planned that anyone would survive in first place anyways and so they were considered to be deserters that did flee before the fight begun. As the Rheinland Military didn’t have the forces to “hunt” the “deserters” down a bounty was set to them and from that point on everything did go downhill. They were hunted from planet to planet, sector from sector, not possible to find any shelter in any nation of this world. It already was bad enough that they were previous Rheinland pilots, even worse, they got exiled and were hunted. More exiled Rheinland pilots joined them while they roamed the galaxy though, and so they gained strength. As the only place left to them they decided to ask for help from the Corsairs.

They were officially let into the faction of bandits, and sent out to a mission to retrieve some cargo left in the asteroid fields after a recent hunt. However, it turned out to be an ambush  by the Corsairs, as they only wanted their superior weapons and equipment, a fight began which wouldn’t last long as surprisingly the =KSK= pilots managed to defeat the Corsaris. However, a way bigger fleet was already on the way to finish them off. In the last moment some men of the 101st Outcasts Guard got themselves into the fight and defeated the outcasts. The =KSK= was invited to repair their ships at an outcast base, and they were offered a good proposal. If they would fight for the Outcasts, and helped to increase their might and territory, they would become Outcast pilots, allowed to dock on their stations, and reammo. While they stayed on the station, they also took some of the addictive cardamines the Outcasts consumed, and so they got little to no choice to accept the offer.

History

Early History

The pilots of the =KSK= originally came from several squadrons of the Rheinland military, their leaders, Christian Tento and Caitlyn Elyrion, were drawn into the Nomad conflict as the Rheinland Military drafted many recruits from different planets to their fighting squadrons to defend against the Nomad attack. As the war raged on and the two recruits just finished their basic training the whole squadron consisting of mainly fresh pilots as them was ordered to perform a attack straight onto the Nomad forces, without any support from other fleets. Many pilots already knew it was a suicide attack, and the ones who didn’t faced the truth at their first encounter with the enemy. On the first contact with the hostile fleet half of their unit was killed before the real combat, taken off by enemy missiles and long-range weaponry. The few that made it to the enemy line had no chance against the overwhelming enemy. The leader of the squadron called to retreat, but it was already way too late. They nearly got destroyed completely. A few made it out of the actual combat, some of the lucky being the later founders of the =KSK= fleet. As they would later found out that whole attack was only to initiate the surprise attack from the Rheinland Military to a whole point in the territory owned by Nomad. However, the seven of them left, returned to Rheinland territory, but they weren’t greeted as they thought.
