Launched in early 814 AS, the Schwerin is one of the newer battleships in the Rheinland Fleet. It has seen action in the nearby Omegas, where it was initially deployed, ending its tour there in Omega-7 helping to secure Rheinland interests in the region and curb the increasing number of Corsair and Red Hessian raids against the mining operations at Briesen Mining Facility and Elbich Mining Facility.
The discovery of the Omicron Xi jump hole in Munich required the redeployment of the Battleship where it was stationed in order to prevent hostile entities entering Rheinland. In 824 AS the Schwerin led an incursion into Omicron Xi, breaking through the Corsair defenders and securing a foothold within the West Aegean nebula.
