After Battleship Guillestre was redeployed to the Tau systems to support the Royal Navy's invasion of Sirius, Battleship Ambazac was stationed in the Dauphine system. Ambazac's deployment reflects the GRN's strategy of 'defense in depth.' Rather than concentrating forces at the perimeter of the threat, the fleet is arranged to provide security throughout Gallia's territory. This prevents the loss of large forces in case of surprise assaults, and forces adversaries to confront the uncertainty of nearly constant reinforcements arriving to support the Navy's front lines.
