Kamchatka was established to expand the resurgent Coalition's influence in the Omegas. The base has been designated by the Coalition as the primary center of operations in the eastern systems of the region. As the base serves as a safe haven for Coalition patrols, it has been well fortified in order to withstand a large scale assault by hostile forces.
This is one of the Coalition's first permanent facilities outside of Omega-52, considered by the Coalition as a highly valued asset. To ensure its survival, it is constantly resupplied by Coalition supply transports, and receives occasional shipments from the Red Hessians or LWB. The establishment of Kamchatka Base is seen as the Coalition's first step to claiming additional territory for themselves, despite the system being heavily contested by local hostile forces.
